Netflix unveiled this Tuesday the trailer for The Killer, a new feature film from director David Fincher starring Michael Fassbender.

The film tells the story of a contract killer who fights against his employer and against himself following a contract that goes wrong. The affair, which will quickly take on the appearance of a manhunt around the world, takes up the main lines of the graphic novel written and illustrated by the French duo Alexis Nolent and Luc Jacamon. Screenwriter Andrew Kevin Walker was given the task of adapting the original story.

As the cold and calculating assassin, but increasingly torn between his own demons, Michael Fassbender is supported by a cast including Arliss Howard, Charles Parnell, Kerry O’Malley, Sala Baker, Sophie Charlotte and Tilda Swinton.

The film, which will have its world premiere at the 80th Venice International Film Festival on September 3, will launch in select theaters on October 27 before hitting Netflix on November 10.
