In December 2016 due to the emergency launch of the cargo ship "Progress MS-04" at the station have not been delivered to the Russian greenhouse "Lada-2".
"Rocket-space Corporation "Energy" we started the study. The designers have already proposed a place where a greenhouse can be placed even with the current configuration of the ISS. There are plans to make the draft design of the greenhouse", – said Sychev.
He noted that the new greenhouse will be similar to the dead "Fret-2", whose main task was to develop hydraulic methods of cultivation in weightless of plants that are in demand in greenhouses for interplanetary missions. For example, tomato and pepper.
Sychev also said that developers of future space greenhouses is very important to define the soil for growing plants.
