Andrei Vorobyov, Director:
the Quarantine is removed, but the euphoria is no place you have to be focused, to think, to plan, to try – and not much hope that our life will return to the previous.
there Came new times. The artists of the “Fomenko Workshop” used to play at one hundred percent sold out, with halls bursting. But the vaccine is still there, the infection has not been canceled, but the theatre is a state cultural institution whose payroll 50-70 percent (us – 70) depends on income-generating activities. Now we are deprived of these activities sometime before September, before the start of the new season. Not close if we then, under a second wave of coronavirus? And will the audience, when all the waves rolled again to the theatre?
But our actors like a soldier. Yes, all hard, all sit on a small budget salaries, but between us during this time, no scandals, no tantrums, explanation of the relationship. In touch, sharing news, trying to predict the future – but the team is far from the riot, he and the quarantine continues to work.
In early may left the show in Zoom the play by Dmitry Danilov “Choose three!” directed by Eugene Kamenkovich, it can be viewed on the website of the theatre. There, in the section “further reading” – lots of great chamber works of the actors, they read stories and poems, dancing and singing songs. I read the play. Currently, the two performances that we are going to release next season – at the end of this year “Tales of Scheherazade” directed by Polina the second to Valery Agureeva, and by April, waiting for the premiere of Dmitry Krymov. Resume work colleagues from the film romankovtsy invited to many projects.
But to lick their wounds we’re still a year and a half. But we’ll see, maybe everything will work out. In any case in such conditions is still not working.
Sofia Apfelbaum, Director:
the Troupe and staging of theatre on 14 June and go on vacation. Rehearsals this week we are definitely not planning to renew, but they continue to zoom: Egor Rabbinical puts the “Shot” and Cyril Vytoptov – “the peasant Girl” in the series “the tales of Belkin”; Oleg Dolin – “late Flowers” by Chekhov. Alexei Borodin is working on “Woe from wit” Griboyedov.
Alexei Borodin, Director, artistic Director:
– the isolation had to learn a new technology – it was not too difficult. The process of rehearsing “Woe from wit” continues in Zuma. This is very unusual, but not strange, because there is an interest I have and the artists, we always work together, and it’s amazing, thanks to the zoom this our contact is not broken.
Why “Woe from wit”? I think today is important and much needed topic: how to face the time and identity, time and individual – whether it fits into the realities of thisnyashnye day? The conflict of life, as she settles into the present moment with the person I was always very is. How to save? And how people change: I went for three years, came back and he won’t know what it was. He went to his girlfriend – was that his feelings don’t get, went to the man who raised him – was that he is here already at anything.
the Current situation has once again proved how important man is not only internal but also external freedom. And how important it is to keep yourself positive, interest in what happens in life. Now still a lot of confusion about how we are going to return to normal rhythm, but you need to accept life for what it is, and to live. And life always requires courage.
Evgeny Pisarev, artistic Director:
– Our team comes out of quarantine with difficult feelings. The youth have quickly adapted to the new reality, developing new ways of interaction, passionate about online work, go to the workshops. The older generation endures all things heavier.
recently there was a company gathering in Zuma, and I tried to spend it positively. But see the faces they are sad, people are worried. Profession, and so dependent on many factors – from the playwright, Director, theatre, and now this natural disaster.
I am part of a working group which, together with the CPS and the Department of culture of Moscow is developing sanitary norms and rules of the rehearsal and creative process in the theatre. And I want to say that the proposed us rules and working conditions need to be discussed. What is possible for office and advertising agencies, are unacceptable for such a creative staff of theatre. Artists can’t be from each other at a distance of 2.5 meters neither rehearsal nor performance. They can’t practice in masks and kiss through the glass. Maybe not rush with the adoption of such rules and just make all the artists of the analysis on antibodies? And what to do with theatres, buildings which are built in the same century as ours – they just are not ready to work on the proposed regulations. The proposed “checkers” the seats for spectators in the hall to avoid close contact – but we have, for example, narrow passages everywhere, people will still face in the toilet and in the cupboard.
But even if “checkers” Seating arrangement canceled, it is worth considering – and if they come at all in the theatre? Miss it in the theater, having tasted online miracles? I think the theatre community has a large social and creative work, we must convey to people that the theatre is safe, that we missed him. But to prove that this is indeed the case, it is necessary not just to make repairs, clean the seat and the grate. We need to think about what to present people who are not only creative, but emotional. And to start withesona not much time.
Kirill KROK, Director:
is the Season we will open for any restrictions. We will say to plant after the chair – we will put, say to measure the audience’s temperature – will be measured. It will be to the detriment of the theatre economy? From my point of view, now the main thing – the return of the theatre to a normal life, and if at stake is the safety of spectators and artists, the issues of the economy should move to the third plan. The more that the Ministry of culture assured us that if the CPS will put some restriction for a few months, the Ministry will seek money, think how to help the theatres.
in the meantime, we have all gone on vacation for 56 days on stage are before any pandemics scheduled large maintenance and construction work on the centennial theatre. After returning from vacation, the company will start rehearsing towards the end of August we’re going on tour in Ulan-Ude, then to Perm, and somewhere in the middle of September will start the season in Moscow.
