The heat will persist in the capital over the next few days. At the same time, forecasters do not predict precipitation either day or night.
On the night of Tuesday, June 28, thermometers will show 18-20 degrees Celsius. During the day, the air will warm up to plus 28. On Wednesday and Thursday it will be slightly cooler: at night — from 12 to 15 above zero, in the afternoon — about 26 degrees.
From Friday, the temperature will start to rise again. At night, it is predicted from 12 to 17 degrees, during the day — up to plus 29 degrees. A similar forecast is given for Saturday, July 2.
Due to the heat, the municipal services of the city have been transferred to a special mode of operation: 1.5 thousand emergency crews are on duty around the clock. At the peak of the heat, washing machines aerate the air by directing water jets upwards. This helps to cool the roadbed and the air that is heated from the asphalt. In the evening and at night, trees, shrubs, flower beds and lawns are abundantly watered.
Muscovites can wait out the heat in cool rooms opened in social service centers. You can find out the address of the nearest one by phone: +7 495 870-44-44. And at 17 metro stations and the Moscow Central Ring, drinking water is distributed to passengers.
