the President of the Russian biathlon Union (RBU) Vladimir Drachev fired Executive Director of the organization Sergey Golikova for slander and attempt to seek his resignation. According Drachev, Golikov is the main initiator of writing collective letters demanding his resignation as President of the RBU.
a Letter calling for voluntary resignation Drachev was launched on 1 April. Under the text stood the names of 24 people who are honored veterans of sport, coaches and representatives of the judiciary.
“Everything was done Golikov. For this case he told Anatoly Alyabiev, Alexander Tikhonov, Dmitry Vasilyev and Alexander Kasperovich. Here are the main initiators of the appearance of the letter. Of the 24 people listed in this letter, 12 told me that he had not signed it and did not even know about its existence,” said Drachev TASS.
the letter indicates the inability of the head of the RBU to find serious sponsors for the organization, the lack of a constructive dialogue with the international Federation, to conduct weak personnel policy and the inability to prevent a scandalous situation that arose over the past two years.
Thursday Golikov in an interview with the newspaper “Sport-Express” said that Drachev spent about 1.5 million rubles from the budget of the SBR to pay a personal driver for his wife
“will Leave Golikov from SBR? Naturally, after such letters as may be otherwise? As for his accusations in my address, it’s just a raving drunk person. My wife has no driver at all,” said Drachev.
Drachev headed SBR in 2018 and soon after approval in the office are invited for the post of Executive Director Golikova.
