The British newspaper the Times took a brief commentary of Igor Girkin (strelkov), the former Minister of defence self-proclaimed Donetsk Narodnoy Republic (DND). He was questioned in connection with the upcoming June 8 meeting of the district court of the Hague in the case of the crash of flight MH17 on 17 July 2014.Commenting on the history of the downed aircraft, Mr Girkin said: “Because I commanded a militia and was directly involved in that conflict, I feel a moral responsibility for those deaths”. However, he reiterated that the militia “did not down the aircraft”. On the question of whether his statement interpreted as an admission of guilt of the Russian military, Mr Girkin replied: “People can interpret it as they please”. From further review, he refused.May 18 a four-hour interview with Igor Girkin posted on his YouTube channel of the Ukrainian journalist Dmitry Gordon. In an interview Mr Girkin said that not surprised, if will appear before the Hague Tribunal.17 Jul 2014 the Boeing 777 passenger plane Malaysia Airlines, EN route from Amsterdam to Kuala Lumpur, was shot down by a missile over Ukraine in a combat zone. Killed all aboard 298 people, including 80 children. The suspects in this case were the citizen of Russia Igor Girkin (Strelkov) and three of his former subordinates.
