Russia does not set a goal to outpace the United States in the ideological competition in the post-Soviet space, said the Deputy Minister of foreign Affairs of Russia Sergey Ryabkov.
“I think the goal of winning the ideological competition in the post-Soviet space with the United States we do not put. We see the issue in a different plane” – quoted Ryabkov TASS.
According to the diplomat, the depth of historical, cultural, human, economic and other ties between Russia and former Soviet Union countries “immeasurably deeper, more fundamental and richer than anything the US offer as so-called alternatives”.
Ryabkov also added that Russia, unlike the United States, fulfills its financial obligations to international bodies in the fight against the coronavirus.
“Russia makes voluntary contributions to a number of international structures and funds. Right now, at the peak of the pandemic, we have taken such steps, in particular, on the Vienna site,” he said.
Earlier, U.S. President Donald trump said that the United States has suspended contributions to the who. American authorities accused the organization of failing to work on the coronavirus. Russia urged the US to refrain from attacks on who.
