Russia’s permanent representative to the European Union Vasily Chizhov may 9, wrote an article in which he complained of “DULLES plan”. Column of the diplomat published on the official website of the Russian foreign Ministry.
Chizhov noted that in anticipation of the celebration of the 75th anniversary of the Victory in the European public opinion has hit “unprecedented shaft blatant lies” about Russia and its history. However, according to Chizhov, Churchill’s speech was preceded by other events that shaped the anti-Soviet and then anti-Russian vector of development of Western diplomacy. Thus, the representative of Russia to the EU remembered developed by the British in 1945, “operation Unthinkable,” which involved the war plans of the US and Britain with the Soviet Union, and created by order of U.S. President Harry Truman’s plan “Totaliti”, which proposed to subject the atomic bombings, the 17 largest cities and industrial centers of the Soviet Union.
“In the development of them appeared and the Plan of CIA chief Allen DULLES, whose goal was the destruction of the Soviet propaganda methods, separation of nationalities and social groups, the moral decay of the population,” the diplomat said in his article.
“DULLES plan” is a mythical plan of action of the USA against the Soviet Union, attributed to the head of the CIA from 1953-1961 Allen DULLES. The document allegedly called for the use of propaganda for a hidden moral decay and discord of the Soviet population. In fact, the original English document never was presented, the Russian version started to spread in the former Soviet Union in the 1990s. In 2016, the so-called DULLES plan was included in the Federal list of extremist materials.
