the Federation Council at plenary session on Friday approved the law on strengthening administrative liability for trade nasvay and snus, as well as for the sale of tobacco to minors.
Amendments made to the Code of administrative offences (Cao). Penalties for the sale of nasvay and snus increased several times. For citizens they will make from 15 to 20 thousand rubles, for officials – from 30 to 50 thousand rubles, for legal entities – from 100 to 150 thousand rubles.
For the sale of tobacco to minors has been suggested that the fine for citizens in amount from 20 to 40 thousand rubles, for officials – from 40 to 70 thousand rubles, for legal entities – from 150 to 300 thousand.
“This is one of those waged by the Federation Council initially. Last year, we insisted on prohibition (the sale of snus and nasvay – approx. “RG”), the government supported us”, – said the speaker of the upper house Valentina Matvienko.
In case of signing by the President the law will come into force after its official publication.
