The EU wants to punish the perpetrators of violence and falsification of the presidential elections in Belarus, said the head of EU diplomacy Josep Borrell

The foreign Minister of Slovakia Ivan Korcok noted that the foreign Ministers of the EU reached a consensus that the Belarusian elections were rigged.
“the EU is starting to work on targeted measures against those responsible for violence against peaceful protesters and fraud”, he explained.
On Friday, the Minister for foreign Affairs of Austria Alexander Ellenberg said that the EU does not want to “push” Belarus in the sphere of influence of Russia, and sanctions should be imposed if the Minsk will not establish a “domestic dialogue”.
The Minister of foreign Affairs of Poland Jacek Czaputowicz said earlier that foreign Ministers of the European Union called for the introduction of sanctions against Belarus.
