The child was admitted to a hospital emergency room on may 2 with a suspected neurosurgical pathology. The doctor on duty found the mother of the patient, hyperemia of the throat and prescribed analysis of the coronavirus. The child was placed in an insulated box.
At 16 o’clock of the same day the presence of COVID-19 the woman confirmed. Inna Kondratyeva thanked colleagues from the laboratory for prompt results.
the Child was transferred to one of the infectious hospitals. The doctor noted that his condition had improved. The on-call medical team, working in the day, were examined for coronavirus, the analysis gave a negative result. All of them were sent on a two-week quarantine at the place of residence.
Inna Kondratyeva asked the parents when you call for emergency help not to hide the symptoms of respiratory infections and the availability of contact with sick with coronavirus.
– You and your child will definitely provide medical assistance, while we will be able to prevent infection of medical staff and young patients, and penetration of coronavirus in the hospital. Quarantined doctors is the increasing burden on the remaining health workers, but the hospital takes measures to avoid impact on the treatment process, – said the doctor.
