the Commissioner of the President of Russia for entrepreneurs ‘ rights Boris Titov has proposed to increase the size of payments to small and medium businesses on the salaries of employees up to two minimum wages (the minimum wage). He stated this during the plenary session of the international online-forum “the world after the coronavirus: a view from the heart of Eurasia”, reports TASS on Wednesday, April 29.
“We believe that to have paid money for employees in a larger volume to two minimum wage. This is the necessary minimum, which will ensure their normal life. But with pay it only to those people whose salaries were less than five minimum wages,” — said the business Ombudsman.
According to Titov, the measures to support entrepreneurship should be focused and adjusted.
yesterday it was reported that Russian business has already received interest-free loans for the payment of wages to employees totaling more than 15 billion rubles.
To support SMEs, Russian banks began to issue interest-free business loans, to allow companies to pay staff salaries. The amount of issued funds is determined taking into account the number of employees and minimum wage in the calculation of the six months.
Support for entrepreneurs is provided by the national project “Small and medium entrepreneurship”, which is implemented in Russia at the initiative of President Vladimir Putin. It involves the increase in the number of employees in small and medium enterprises, including individual entrepreneurs, to 25 million people by the end of 2024, increasing the share of SMEs in GDP to 32 per cent and the share of exports of SMEs — up to 10 percent of the total by 2024. Only the implementation of the project it is planned to allocate more than 481 billion.
