A majority of Germans are in favor of continuing to operate the three remaining nuclear power plants after April 2023. This emerges from a ZDF survey. Chancellor Scholz had recently decided that the three reactors would remain connected to the grid for another 6 months.

In the ZDF “Politbarometer” published on Friday, 55 percent of those questioned spoke out in favor of using the three nuclear power plants longer than planned by the federal government because of the energy crisis.
