This win marks their seventh consecutive victory, with set scores of 25-21, 25-19, and 25-17. The Longhorns have been dominating the Southeastern Conference play, with this being their fourth straight sweep.

Former Wildcats players Reagan Rutherford and Madisen Skinner had outstanding performances against their old team. Rutherford led the Longhorns with 10 kills and an impressive .438 hitting percentage, while Skinner contributed eight kills. This match was particularly special for them as it was their first time playing at Memorial Coliseum since transferring to Texas.

Devin Kahahawai also made a significant impact with nine kills and six block assists, while Ayden Ames added six kills and four block assists. The Longhorns displayed a strong team effort, hitting .281 collectively with 40 kills and 15 errors on 89 attempts. They also dominated in total blocks, outblocking the Wildcats 14-7.
