Friday night football across the Austin area saw some exciting matchups and big wins for several high school teams. Vandegrift dominated McNeil with a score of 28-0, while Bowie shut out Del Valle with a score of 34-0. Cedar Park also emerged victorious with a 35-25 win over Rouse, and Cedar Ridge narrowly defeated Stony Point 24-21.
Dripping Springs showcased their strength with a commanding 49-7 victory over Austin High, and Georgetown had an impressive 65-7 win against Killeen Chaparral. LBJ continued their winning streak with a 50-3 victory over Travis, while Hutto bounced back from a previous loss to defeat Westwood 42-24.
In other high school football action from Central Texas and beyond, Arlington Oakridge defeated St. Andrew’s 64-27, Bartlett triumphed over McDade 57-0, and Burnet secured a 57-14 win against San Angelo Lake View. College Station had a strong showing with a 58-14 victory over Hendrickson, and Devine narrowly edged out Marble Falls 28-27.
