For some corona-the pandemic boredom and cake, but for others it’s about something as important as life and death.
FC Nordsjælland-trainer Flemming Pedersen and his family belong to the last category. And therefore Flemming Pedersen made a big decision.
At the beginning of march, he moved from home and into Hotel FC Nordsjælland, where he expects to live for a very long time.
“so do I, because my bonusdatter has a life-threatening disease. She has virtually no immune system at the same time with, that she has a serious lung disease, so she simply must not be infected,” says Flemming Pedersen and continues.
“There will be a risk of infection, when I’m near other people – so we must avoid that, I’m bringing the infection home.”
Flemming Pedersen normally talk the most about football, but in the podcast Mediano said FC Nordsjælland coach short his new and different life in the hotel block up of the club’s home ground.
Now he tells a little more about the situation, as he and his family are in. With the hope that people get a greater understanding for why one should take precautions at this time of coronaviruses. He takes even his situation as being temporarily cut off from the family, very relaxed.
“I’m with to do everything – simply everything. It is about survival. Then it comes in the first row. It is also not worse than that, I see my wife every other day. We take a walking tour with 2 meters distance, of course, and facetimer. We feel we are anyway close to each other.”
“of Course there are with, that you can’t give your loved ones a hug. There is a need there. But I’m not the biggest hug in advance, haha. I have a lot of love in me, and my nearest well. They know well all the feelings and the love for them, as there is in me,” says Flemming Pedersen.
Flemming Pedersen’s 25-year-old bonusdatter lives in her own apartment. It is located just upstairs Flemming Pedersen’s and his wife’s and is connected by an inner staircase.
She was knogletransplanteret as four-year-old, Flemming Pedersen met his wife – bonusdatterens mother when the daughter was nine years old.
the Family are living the life, now also met the rest of the danes. A life where there shall be kept a distance, sprittes of, and where you are influenzavaccineret each year. The daughter has previously been isolated many years of his life.
“To be isolated is not something new for her.”
For the family is the only amendment now, then, that Flemming Pedersen has moved out. But he has tried it before as a coach in Mainz and Brentford.
“I miss them, but it is something else, than if I had been in a different place in the world. We have some experience from when I was abroad and train. Which had my bonusdatter some periods of time where she was also very sick. There was precipitated a little tears in those situations because I was so far away, and I could not do anything.”
“Now there’s a better feeling, because I, after all, is in the vicinity, then that can be traded, if there is one or another. I have a different feeling.”
Flemming Pedersen reckon with to stay at Hotel FC Nordsjælland a long time yet. First, when there is found a vaccine or treatment against the current coronaviruses, he can move home to the family again.
he lives with. And he also hopes that people can live with, that they need to take care of a little extra and keep the distance in the here sometimes. If not for their own sake – so for others.
“People may get a sense of any deprivation, and so they may not be in itself because of the feeling rather than look at the larger perspective. Personally, I think that it is the largest to be of help to others. It is much bigger than just helping himself.”
“But in this situation it is the easier, since you both can take care of himself, his nearest and his fellow man at the same time by being careful.
