About the strike announced by the employees of the unitary enterprise “Brestzhilstroy”. They demanded fair and transparent presidential elections, release of political prisoners and the withdrawal from them of all charges.
The strike will last from 10 to 11 August, and in the case of Lukashenko won the elections, workers promised to join the indefinite national strike. Planned strikes also announced the miners from Soligorsk, JSC “Grodno Azot”, BMZ and OJSC “Svetlogorskoye”.
In Belarus on 9 August presidential election. In the country and abroad, there are mass protests in connection with the persecution of opposition politicians. The special resonance was caused by the arrest of blogger Sergei Tikhanovski and the former head of Belgazprombank Victor Babariko.
Lukashenko believes that Belarus want to join the revolution. He complained of foreign interference in the election campaign by foreign “puppeteers”. The President warned that the country may lose part of its territory and return to the borders of 1921.
