Forrie J. Smith claims he has never had a vaccine and does not intend to get one for COVID-19.
Due to testing and vaccination guidelines, one ” Yellowstone star” will not be present at the 2022 Screen Actors Guild Awards.
Forrie J. Smith stated that he meant no offense to anyone in an Instagram message to his followers Monday. It’s a requirement that everyone be vaccinated.
The event organizers stated that attendees will need to have their vaccinations up to date and have had a booster as well as a negative COVID-19 test within 48-hours of the awards show. The organizers also require that all attendees wear a mask.
“I am not vaccinated.” Smith declares in the video that he will not be vaccinated. Smith states, “I haven’t been vaccinated since my childhood. I don’t vaccinate my dogs, I don’t vaccinate my horses. I have never received a flu shot. I will never. They compromise your immunity, I believe.”
Smith plays Lloyd Pierce in the series. However, he said that he didn’t plan on walking the red carpet at this year’s awards show because “I don’t believe” in such things.
He was a regular character until season three, when he was made a series regular and promoted to senior ranch hand.
“Yellowstone” received its first ever SAG nomination for outstanding performance by a group in a drama series on January 12.
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), stated last month that it “recommends people keep up to date with vaccines. This includes booster doses for those who are immune compromised or additional doses for people who are already well. People who are severely or moderately immunocompromised should receive an additional primary shot as well as a booster shot.
CDC Data shows more than 200 million Americans have been fully vaccinated and that nearly 90 million people have had a booster shot.
Officials have encouraged all Americans to apply for a boost in light of the spread of the coronavirus’ delta and omicron variants.
Fox News Digital reached out to Paramount and Smith for clarification but they did not respond immediately.
