Registration of participants for tag rugby competitions, which will take place on September 24 as part of the Mosprom Sports Contest, has begun. Teams need to submit an application on the official website of the competition. This was told by the head of the capital’s Department of Investment and Industrial Policy Vladislav Ovchinsky.
Tag rugby differs from the classic by simplified rules: players do not need to make a capture, it is enough to tear the ribbon (the so-called tag) from the opponent’s belt.
Athletes of the “Mosprom-2022” Sports Contest can participate in the game by prior registration. The tournament is organized jointly with the Russian Rugby Federation and the CSKA Rugby Club.
In August, professional rugby players will hold a master class for representatives of industrial enterprises, and in September — for students of technical universities. Among the instructors is the long—time captain of the Russian national rugby team, a player of the CSKA rugby club Vasily Artemyev.
The qualifying competitions of this year’s Spartakiad will be held from July 16 to September 10, and the semifinal games will be held on September 17.
