The Brotherhood of Penha and Guimabus have partnered to provide special transportation between Campo da Feira in the center of Guimarães and the Penha Tourist Resort for Father Guilherme’s show this Sunday starting at 6:00 pm at the Sanctuary grounds.
The transportation service will operate from 5:00 pm to 10:20 pm between the bus stop at Campo da Feira (Largo República do Brasil) and the bus parking lot at Penha, which is 200 meters from the Sanctuary of Penha. Outside of these hours, interested individuals can also use the Penha – Guimarães cable car.
Local priest Guilherme, who performed at World Youth Day and on many international electronic music stages, promises a special performance as he celebrates his 50th birthday and 25 years of priesthood. He will be joined by the innovative musical duo ‘Ebmathp’, consisting of Andrea Tambè and Simone Mancin, who have become a reference in the melodic techno scene.
On Sunday, religious festivities for the Feast of Our Lady of Carmo at Penha (Patroness of the Brotherhood) will take place. In the early afternoon at 3:00 pm at Largo da Comissão, Kika Freitas and Nelito Santos will perform. Kika Freitas, who was born surrounded by microphones and instruments, has shown musical talent from a young age, leading to versatile and lively performances. Nelito Santos, on the other hand, is a music enthusiast who sees the audience as the motivation for his lively popular shows.
In addition to the transportation arrangements and the performances by Father Guilherme and the musical duo ‘Ebmathp’, attendees can also enjoy the religious festivities and performances by Kika Freitas and Nelito Santos during the Feast of Nossa Senhora do Carmo at Penha. The event promises to be a celebration of music, spirituality, and community, bringing together people from different backgrounds to enjoy a day of entertainment and cultural enrichment.
