The number held in the first half of 2020 launches American company Rasah ahead of Russia, Europe and Japan, according to Ars Technica.
The publication notes that the June launch of the Falcon 9 rocket, which put into orbit a 3.7 tonne satellite for global navigation system Global Positioning System of the third generation, became an American company 11th this year. The same number of starts, according to Ars Technica, in 2020, managed to hold Russia, Europe and Japan combined.
The number held in the first half of the current year launches Rasah ahead of only China, committed 15 starts, two of which were unsuccessful. Ars Technica assumes that in 2020, the us company will beat its own record for number of starts.
In June, RIA Novosti with reference to the financial report of the Khrunichev Centre (part of “Rosatom”) for 2019, reported that the production of a rocket “Angara-A5” will cost seven billion, three times higher than the cost of carrier “proton-M”.
