“Ribbon.ru” continues the series of materials about the Russian pop music of the nineties — the decade that not only continues to fester in the minds of Russians and appear in the official rhetoric, but also actively influences modern popular culture, surfacing in the films, the aesthetics of the clips, the covers of fashion artists. In the second series 1992, a year of dramatic market reform, voucher privatization and shock therapy in the economy. This, the first full year in the history of independent Russia, was the time when businessmen woke up and realized that you can earn not only on the sausage, jeans and driving cars — and including the culture. In pop music poured substantial amounts of money from many different investors, many of whom of the nineties, as soon will become clear, and will not survive. But the fruits of their actions remain with us — that in 1992 was born the Russian show business as we know it. “Ribbon.ru” tells about the main events, actors and memes of the year.
the hero of the year — Bogdan Titomir

Well, no one will be surprised if Titomir suddenly try to catch the spirit of the time again — if you can smell it in the dense surrounding clubs in recent years, herbal smoke.
Many still wonder how Natalia Vetlitskaya could at some time become the most fashionable artist of the country — the prerequisites for this until 1992 did not have any. Igor Nikolaev was one of the most important and successful pop composers in the country in Soviet times — and retained this status in the nineties and zero. In 1990, 30-year-old composer met 17-year-old Natasha Queen — and began to spin. The pinnacle of their collaboration was a joint album “Dolphin and mermaid”, is literally stuffed with hits and raised Nikolaev on nadasaka��my by the standards of the national stage level. Almost decades it has become a key and an incredibly prolific songwriter for the whole of Russian pop music, which only of his solo albums recorded 24 pieces. And there were songs for Kirkorov and Kobzon, Allegrova and even the group “Hands up!”
a Bravo, Evgeny Osin
In 1989, 25-year-old Evgeny Osin briefly became a soloist with “Bravo” is he replaced in the lineup left the group and went to America Jeanne Aguzarovu. As for Aspen, in 1992, together with his then-producer Valery Zharov he started the project “the Seventieth latitude” — street songs, which were performed by live band in the style of the 1970s. With almost all the musicians in the ensemble were girls — the very same ocean acted as a vocalist. Their biggest hit was heard, probably, everyone is “Crying girl in the machine”, a cover of the song from the sixties, which miraculously survived even those telephones which text decorations. Unfortunately, outlived the popularity of the song and Evgeny Osin — he died two years ago at the age of 54 years. “The girl in the machine” he had to sing at corporate events and festivals more or less until his death.

Imagine that you confront the Soviet government, and your whole life and music is a struggle. You write protest songs and at their expense earn moral capital. And then suddenly the country collapses — and everything you fought for is in your hands. What to do next? Go into Commerce? But this is against the spirit of Russian rock. To deal now with the new government? But it is not very logical. So Russian rockers began to turn into a club of Amateur singers — people who write abstract songs about the seasons, religion, life and death.
