A city network of parcel delivery and delivery devices will appear in the capital. The resolution on the implementation of the Moscow Postamat project was signed by Sergei Sobyanin.
In recent years, a wide network of post offices has been formed in the capital, which is used by millions of residents and guests of the city. At the same time, today there is no uniform procedure for placing such devices on city property and public territories. And this objectively hinders the further development of automated delivery services.
Within the framework of the Moscow Postamat project, it is planned to implement the possibility of non-discriminatory installation of devices of different operators in courtyards and other public urban areas; in cultural and leisure and social institutions — libraries, museums, fitness centers, polyclinics; at transport facilities – in the lobbies of metro stations, MCC, MCD, parking lots, transport andtransfer hubs.
It will be possible to install a postamat in the entrances of residential buildings. However, a decision on this issue can be taken exclusively at a general meeting of the owners of premises in accordance with the norms of the Housing Code of Russia.
The postamates established within the framework of the project will have uniform requirements for the quality of customer service. In the future, the city network of postamats will be integrated with the portal mos.ru .
With the help of delivery devices of the city network, Muscovites will be able to:
— receive orders from online stores and return goods;
– send equipment to service centers for warranty and post—warranty service, clothes and shoes for repair or dry cleaning and receive them back;
— send and receive documents and parcels;
— leave things for storage.
The implementation of the Moscow Postamat project should significantly improve the quality and availability of such services. The basic principles of operation were tested in 2021 — early 2022 as part of a special pilot project.
