A state of emergency in Serbia will be cancelled as of 7 may. This was reported on Sunday the country’s President Aleksandar Vucic in an interview with Pink.

"Tomorrow the government, the Prime Minister and as President, I will get a justification defense, then we get the conclusion of the government signed by [Prime Minister] Ana Brnabic my own, then pass it to Parliament for lifting the state of emergency on Wednesday, Djurdjevdan (St. George day, a national holiday in Serbia – approx. TASS). If [the document] will be immediately published in the official Gazette, on Thursday we will be no more curfew," said Vucic.

The number of cases of infection with coronavirus in Serbia is 9 464, the number of deaths has increased to 193. Serbia has completely closed its borders, the state of emergency and curfew, abolished parliamentary elections.
