The American fighter F-15 was kept at a safe distance from passenger plane of Iranian airline Mahan Air. This is stated in a statement, U.S. Central command (CENTCOM) posted on Twitter.

“Rambler” wrote that earlier, Iran said the interception of fighter jets in the skies over Syria, its passenger plane flying from Tehran to Beirut. The pilots of the airliner had to change course and lower altitude, resulting in the injury of several people. Iran has already announced intention to appeal to the UN Secretary General and the Security Council in connection with the incident.
