There are plenty of televisions for less than 900 euros – but the quality is not always right. We introduce you to a cheap TV that did “very well” in the test.
It is currently particularly worth taking the old TV to the recycling center and buying a new device. Because energy prices keep rising. Older TV models turn out to be real power guzzlers. New models, on the other hand, are much more energy-efficient. So if you buy a new television now, you will save a lot of money in the long term.
The Samsung GQ55N85A is a very energy-efficient and at the same time inexpensive television. On top of that, the premium device was rated “very good” by the experts at CHIP.de.
The Samsung GQ55N85A is a 55-inch television that delivered a great result in the test with a picture quality rating of 1.4: The 4K television has a backlight made of mini LEDs, which, in combination with a light-conducting film, ensure a very high contrast and good Colors take care of – even with non-ideal viewing angles. In addition, the television is extremely bright with a measured 1,431 cd/m² (candelas per square meter). The sound, on the other hand, is okay, but if you want a powerful, clear sound, you should invest in a soundbar.
There is little to criticize in terms of features on the Samsung GQ55N85A: The device offers DVB-C, DVB-S2 and DVB-T2. There are also four HDMI inputs, Bluetooth and USB. Most streaming services are pre-installed or can be easily retrofitted via the integrated app store, the TV gets internet via LAN or WLAN. If you want, you can also control the Samsung television by voice – with three different assistants: Amazon Alexa, Google Assistant and the in-house Bixby.
