Tennis legend Boris Becker (54) is currently serving a two-and-a-half-year prison sentence for delaying bankruptcy. Not only his family, including his wife Lilly Becker (45), were shocked by the harsh verdict. Becker’s mother Elvira (87) was also upset and still has to nibble on the fact that she cannot see her son.
As the “Bild” newspaper reported a few weeks ago, the 54-year-old ex-sports professional is said to have called his mother several times from prison. Shortly thereafter, it became known that the 87-year-old was planning to visit her son in London prison as soon as possible. But nothing should come of it for the time being, as Elvira now had to admit with a heavy heart.
A few days ago, Elvira celebrated a sad milestone – her 87th birthday. Instead of looking forward to a visit from her son Boris, the elderly woman only had to be satisfied with a birthday greeting from prison over the phone. To encourage her, however, an acquaintance brought her a homemade cake, according to the “Bild” newspaper. Daughter Sabine (58) also traveled from Switzerland to Leimen to be with the 87-year-old. After all!
On the other hand, Elvira has to wait a long time to meet her Boris – even though she longs so much. The tennis legend’s mother explained to the “Bild” newspaper why she had to do without a flight to London for the time being: “I would like to, but I don’t feel able to do so at the moment because of my health.”
According to a report, Bayern coach Julian Nagelsmann and his wife Verena have split up. They had been a couple for 15 years and got married in 2018.
