The head of the Executive Committee of the National Council of reforms of Ukraine, Mikhail Saakashvili has announced its intention to introduce a bill on public-private partnership, according to which basic functions should belong to private entities. His words are quoted by “UKRINFORM”.
“We have with small and medium businesses to raise this partnership to say that the state can perform only certain functions, and other functions can be done together with the people who create the wealth of this country and jobs” — revealed plans of Saakashvili.
He added that it also intended to reduce government control in business and the improvement of the situation at customs. Saakashvili stressed that he wants to help the President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky in the implementation of reforms. According to him, he has no other ambitions.
May 14, Saakashvili on his page in Facebook has started to recruit a team of reformers, attaching to the record a special form for participation in the competition.
The decree of the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky on the appointment of Saakashvili was published on 7 may. Soon after Georgia recalled its Ambassador in Ukraine Teimuraz Sharashenidze in disagreement with the personnel policy of the Ukrainian authorities. Zelensky said that the decision of the Georgian side is the mistake, promising not to apply in response to reflex action.
