The location of several dozens of Russian schoolchildren, who went to the United States under exchange programs, is still unknown, said the official representative of the foreign Ministry Maria Zakharova.
"Teenagers could be much more than 80. We know the names of 42 students, of whom eight have already returned to Russia, and 34 remain in the US and scattered throughout the country. Many of them want to get home quickly," she said.
The diplomat noted that the issue of the return of Russian children from the United States is under the control of the leadership of the foreign Ministry.
While so far the U.S. side has not provided a full list of students who are stuck in the USA due to the fact that the training program is suspended, some are actually "put out".
"Some (children) consider themselves safe with the support of their parents plan to stay until the end of the originally scheduled date of departure in may — June", — said the official representative of the foreign Ministry.
