Russia is studying the possibility of introducing networks of the sixth generation. Their input will be preceded by research work. This was stated by the Minister of industry and trade Denis Manturov.
“It’s long-term plans, and while it is necessary to develop the 5G network. To prepare local solutions for them, Russian companies will need from one year to three years”, – quotes the Minister TASS.
According to the Ministry of communications, now in Russia there are 15 pilot areas of 5G. Federal project “Informational infrastructure” of the national project “Digital economy” provides for the beginning of active use of 5G networks in the cities until the end of 2021.
One of the challenges in the implementation of networks of the fifth generation is that the most promising and economically beneficial for market players frequency under it now occupied. The relationship of the sixth generation will come to replace the 5G. In the meantime, the company is preparing a prototype of equipment that could work on such networks.
