The Russian company “Reusable space transportation system” has started manufacture of the body for the prototype of the space ship “Argo”, said the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the company Sergey Sopov.
“the contract for the fabrication of a composite hull for the prototype ship. Now we are working together with the specialists of the manufacturer on the design and production of accessory for direct creation of the housing”, – quotes RIA “news” Sopova.
According to him, in connection with absence of necessary technologies in Russia composite body decided to order in Germany, which will accelerate the process of creating “Argo”. In the subsequent serial production of housings and components will be deployed in Russia. Earlier it was reported that it may be organized in Voronezh.
“Thus, a prototype of the enclosure may be supplied for installation of equipment and commencement of ground testing in the first half of 2021,” said Sopov.
