As reported by the Explorer, “RG”, the official representative of office of security Council Evgenie Anoshin, in the new edition of the Strategy will be specified the main tasks and directions of state policy in the sphere of combating extremism, determined by the target performance indicators of anti-extremist events, and formulates the expected results of this activity. According to him, revision of applicable doctrinal document is primarily caused by changes in the anti-extremist legislation, which has occurred in recent years and new challenges and threats to national security. All this, as noted in the apparatus of the security Council require further consolidation of efforts of Federal, regional and local authorities and civil society institutions in anti-extremist activities aimed primarily at prevention of extremism among young people and in the information space.
the proposal for the update and the adjustment of certain provisions of the Strategy for combating extremism, was prepared by the interior Ministry of Russia jointly with interested Federal ministries and agencies with participation of staff of the Russian security Council.
