The Ministry of reintegration of the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine accused Russia of militarization of the Crimea, which threatens the outbreak of the coronavirus in the Peninsula. About it writes “Interfax-Ukraine”.
“In terms of the deterioration of the epidemiological situation and the incidence of coronavirus in the temporarily occupied territories of Russia Crimea and Sevastopol units of the occupying Russian troops do not stop the activity, which creates risks for the civilian population”, — stated in the message of the Ministry.
It argued that despite the pandemic of the black sea fleet, and servicemen of the southern military district and the Russian power structures continue training activities, carry out military training and commercial activities.
“the outbreak of the disease in the occupying military force where it is impossible to comply with self-isolation, can lead to overload not only the military hospitals, but also ordinary hospitals, some of which are already closed due to the coronavirus. Civilians do not receive adequate assistance, which can lead to severe humanitarian consequences. It is absolutely irresponsible attitude of the Russian Federation as the state of the occupant to his duties”, — summed up in Lineintegral.
Earlier on April 27, the leader of the banned in Russia organization “the Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar people,” Refat Chubarov urged the participants in the “Norman format” level of foreign Ministers, scheduled for Thursday, April 30, to discuss the situation with human rights on the Peninsula.
Crimea became part of Russia in 2014, after a referendum in which the majority of respondents supported this decision. Ukraine considers the territory annexed and accuses Moscow of violating the rights of the Crimean Tatars. Russian authorities deny these accusations.
