Bilateral relations between Moscow and Minsk have become the main topic of conversation of the Russian Ambassador in Belarus Dmitry Mezentsev and the Chairman of the Council of the Republic Natalia Kochanova.
“the Parties discussed the Russian-Belarusian inter-parliamentary cooperation and other current issues of bilateral relations. In particular, the preparations for the upcoming VII Forum of regions of Belarus and Russia, which will be held in Minsk in late September of this year”, – stated in the message of the Russian Embassy in Twitter.
In large cities of Belarus do not cease protests. Commenting on developments in the neighboring country, the Russian foreign Ministry noted the unprecedented external pressure on the official Minsk and the attempt to split the Belarusian society.
The foreign office confirmed the friendly and cooperative relations between the two countries and expressed hope for a speedy release of the detained in Minsk Russians.
