According to a report by the Reuters news agency, Russia wants to turn on the gas tap again after maintenance work on the Nord Stream 1 pipeline. Accordingly, as much gas should flow through the lines again as before July 11th. By that time, deliveries had already been throttled to 40 percent of total capacity.
Russian gas supplies via the Nord Stream 1 pipeline will resume after Thursday’s 10-day maintenance. That said two sources familiar with the plans from the Reuters news agency. The pipeline was shut down for annual maintenance on July 11. However, it can now be put back into operation in good time.
The source also confirmed that shipments are expected to come at exactly the same rate as before the maintenance. Gazprom and Nord Stream 1 have not yet responded to a request for comment.
