The evaluation report on the state corona measures was a settlement with the government and the RKI. Now there are doubts about the assessment. The criticism focuses on dubious personal details and unscientific methods.

The 160-page evaluation report of the Federal Government’s Expert Commission on the state corona measures was eagerly awaited last Friday. It should actually serve as a basis for possible measures in the fall. But instead of providing clarity, the report leaves many questions unanswered. And worse: There is criticism of dubious personnel decisions.

The committee consists of 18 experts. Half of them were occupied by the federal government and half by the Bundestag. Even the chairman of the expert committee, Stefan Huster, criticized that the Bundestag and the federal government had filled the committee according to the proportionate participation of the parties (party proportional representation) and not according to the necessary specialist areas, reports “riffreporter” in his analysis.

Among other things, there is criticism that only three virologists are represented, including Klaus Stöhr. Among other things, he became known in public for often having opposing opinions on Christian Drosten, chief virologist at the Berlin Charité.

Explosive: Stöhr took over Drosten’s position after he left the committee in April. Drosten’s reasoning: the equipment and composition of the committee were not sufficient for a high-quality evaluation.

Another point of criticism: there is a complete lack of representatives from the fields of epidemiology and statistics.

Other personal details are causing a stir: First, Werner Bergholz, former professor of electrical engineering at Jacobs University Bremen. Bergholz was appointed to the committee by the AfD parliamentary group and apparently belongs to the lateral thinker scene, according to the analysis by “riffreporter”. Among other things, Bergholz had reported in a YouTube video about countless unknown vaccination deaths and about the fact that the vaccines were allegedly contaminated. The video was deleted from Youtube. The German Society for Pathology distanced itself and found that the data presented were “not scientifically sound”.

In addition to the 18 committee members, 20 other experts also contributed to the report. As “riffreporter” found out, some of them have links to initiatives close to lateral thinkers, including “Initiative Families”, “Another Future” and “
