After major restoration work over nearly a year and a half, completed in May 2023, the Ursuline Chapel received an award of excellence awarded by the Religious Heritage Council.
Considered an important place in Quebec’s historical and cultural heritage, the building, located in Old Quebec, had not received any repairs since its founding at the beginning of the 20th century. The work consisted of redoing the entire chapel, repainting surfaces, repairing cracked plaster, consolidating and restoring the architectural elements as well as its works of art.
Alongside the rehabilitation, the fall cultural program promises to be rich, with recitals, conferences from restaurateurs, guided tours, night tours, introductory embroidery and crochet workshops, storytelling and clue hunts.
