SSC Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis doesn’t seem particularly enthusiastic about Kalidou Koulibaly’s (31) upcoming departure to Chelsea.
Anger after failed contract extension: Aurelio De Laurentiis, President of SSC Napoli, is said to be really “angry” at Kalidou Koulibaly and his agent because a contract extension in Naples did not materialize, as “Football.London” reports. Koulibaly’s contract in Napoli runs in a year, but he now prefers a move to Chelsea.
Short, compact, clear
Long-term contract, high salary: Koulibaly is said to have a five-year contract in London, which is surprising given his age. In addition, he is handsomely rewarded with an estimated annual salary of almost 9.5 million euros.
Closing gaps after free transfers: In Thomas Tuchel’s team, Koulibaly closes the gaps that were created by the free transfers of Antonio Rüdiger (Real Madrid) and Andreas Christensen (FC Barcelona). An announcement of the Koulibaly change is expected in the near future.
