Malik Harrison, Baltimore Ravens’ starting linebacker, was in recovery Monday after being hit by a stray shot in his left leg during what the team called a gathering in Cleveland that night.
The Ravens released a statement saying only that Harrison’s injury is “non-life-threatening.” The 23-year-old was treated at a hospital and has been in touch with team doctors.
Harrison is expected back in Maryland on Monday.
His injury is not yet known.
Last week, the Ravens, who are currently leading the AFC North, went on their bye. They will host the Minnesota Vikings this Sunday.
The Ravens drafted Harrison in the third round of last year. Harrison was an Ohio State player. As a rookie, he played six games and recorded 44 tackles. He is 6’3″ and 245 lbs.
