The current railway station Kalanchevskaya street will be upgraded under the project of the Moscow Central diameters (IDC). This was announced by Deputy mayor for urban policy and the construction of Andrey Bochkarev.
“the Upgraded station will be the core of a major transport hub. Passengers can make convenient transfers between IDC-2 and IDC-4. Also within walking distance are the metro station “Komsomolskaya” and three stations – Leningradsky, Yaroslavsky and Kazansky. The new single the underground lobby will place cash pavilions, restrooms, escalators and elevators for people with limited mobility. Work has already begun. We will remind, the reconstruction of a 4 km section “Kalanchevskaya – Kursk” second route Moscow Central diameters (WDC-2) will complete in 2023. Between Kalanchevskaya and Kursk will conduct the reconstruction of two railway lines, as well as build the III and IV main road. This will allow a 2.5 times increase the capacity of the site which now trains IDC-2. In the future, will be added to the train, WDC-4, which connects Kiev and Gorky direction of Moscow railway.
