The film adaptation of Kim Thúy’s novel, Ru, attracted Quebecers to the cinema during its first week in theaters. Ridley Scott’s latest film, Napoleon, remains at the top of the top 10 best box office performances.
A new arrival in the box office leading trio, the film Ru takes third place, with revenues of more than $450,000 for its first week on the big screen.
Napoleon, starring Joaquin Phoenix as the despot and first emperor of France, is now racking up nearly $760,000 at the box office in Quebec. It thus appears at the top of the list for a second week in a row.
Ridley Scott’s feature film is followed in the ranking by the new part of the Hunger Games saga, The Ride of the Serpent and the Songbird, which also keeps the same place as last week, but triples its revenues, with a cumulative $1.7 million.
Trolls 3, The Wish: Asha and the Lucky Star, The Marvels, Thanksgiving, Five Nights at Freddy’s, Anatomy of a Fall and Saltburn completely made the top 10.
