He stated in an interview for the film by Andrei Kondrashov “War for memory” on TV channel “Russia-1”.
“After all, look what happened. This is a conspiracy, a secret part. Written, not written, but it’s all in the documents we have. And the Soviet Union, in fact, in the late eighties, denounced the secret part of the Pact Molotov-Ribbentrop Pact. Well, why, why today our colleagues to do the same — not to judge this division of Czechoslovakia?” — said the Russian leader.
Putin recalled that not once talked about how it was the years leading up to world war II. Putin said that attempts to rewrite history occur in countries where there is political struggle, and some of the forces need to “energize the electorate”.
