Today, Putin held an online meeting with the new composition of the Public chamber of Russia. In the course of it he called absolute credibility and legitimacy of the results of the vote on the Constitution, the most important task of the authorities.
“there should be no compulsion, cheating turnout, not to mention the failures in the accounting of the votes cast,” said the President, explaining that no one should doubt the position of citizens relative to proposed amendments.
He urged members of Federal and regional public chambers closely and actively monitor compliance with the rules and procedures during the vote.
