Russian President Vladimir Putin said that he supports the plans of the head of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov to run again for the post of head of the Republic in the next elections.

So I certainly will support your nomination as a candidate for the position of head of the Republic for the next term” – the words of Putin TASS.
The powers of the President expire in 2020.
