Russian President Vladimir Putin reminded about the role of the USSR in the victory over Nazism in the Second world war. He said this during his speech at the parade on the occasion of the 75th anniversary of the Victory in the great Patriotic war,
“We will always remember what the Nazis crushed the Soviet people. Millions of people of different nationalities from all republics of the Soviet Union”, — said the Russian leader. “Our people have been able to defeat the terrible, total evil”, — he stressed.

They sought to finish off the enemy, victory and go home. And paid for the freedom of Europe heavy price”, — Putin said.
