On Thursday said Russian President Vladimir Putin at a meeting on the situation in the sphere of education in conditions of pandemic.
“Given the steady decline in the threat of an epidemic of coronavirus, consider the need for a unified state exam conduct across the country, it will begin on June 29. The school will help graduates to prepare for exams in distance mode,” — said the head of state.
According to Putin, “the exam will take only those graduates who intend to enter higher education this year”. “As for the certificates, they will be issued to all graduates without examination,” — said the President, noting that such a decision is the exception that “temporary”.
As said the head of state, to apply the results of the exam can several universities, without personal attendance, and the enrollment in higher education will take place in August.
the President said that the question on the exam, “received a variety of proposals, including this year, given the difficult situation, offered completely to cancel it”. However, as Putin said, for more than a decade of its existence, the unified state exam, “despite all the problems, and there were many, still has become an effective mechanism of objective evaluation of knowledge.”

He recalled that in the message to the Federal Assembly has proposed from 2021 to increase the number of budget places in universities, mainly regional, in priority directions of development of economy and social sphere.
