Russian President Vladimir Putin has demanded from the authorities of the regions of preparedness for emergency incidents. The head of state said during a meeting with governors in a video conference.
According to him, despite the fact that now all forces are thrown on the fight against the epidemic COVID-19, we cannot forget other natural threats such as floods and fires.
“In General, every subject of the Federation should be provided with complete readiness to react to any emergency, on any developments, and all necessary resources should be fully mobilized,” Putin as saying by the press service of the Kremlin.
He stressed that the emergency situation of natural character should not trigger local outbreaks and foci of coronavirus infection. Therefore, the MOE needs to inform citizens about threats and to work out a plan of action for evacuation and temporary accommodation if required, and to provide medical and other assistance.
Under special control must be taken the cases when in the result of emergency people lost possessions, a roof over my head and left without basic necessities. Them local authorities should provide financial assistance immediately, Putin said.
“I Understand the challenges now facing the regional budgets, but assistance to affected citizens, to ensure human security is a priority,” said the President.
