The ex-President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko did not appear on may 26 for interrogation to the State Bureau of investigation (GBR), where he was called in urgently as a witness in the case of the export of 43 paintings by world famous artists. This was reported by Poroshenko’s lawyer Igor Golovan.

The defender explained that the former President will not appear for questioning because he was not given a summons, but only posted a video with her on the RRT website.

Previously, the RRT reported that the former President will be questioned in the case, "which investigated the circumstances of moving across the customs border of Ukraine with concealment from customs control in the collection of cultural property, which consists of 43 paintings by world famous artists".

In RRG, recalled that, in addition to this, Poroshenko is in a number of other criminal cases as a witness.

The office of the Prosecutor General of Ukraine, according to the publication, "Ukrainian truth", has launched an investigation into charges of treason and abuse of power against Poroshenko after the publication of records of possible conversations with former Vice-President of the USA Joseph Biden and Secretary of state John Kerry. The case was filed after a press-conferences the Deputy of the Verkhovna Rada Andriy Derkach published audio recordings of telephone conversations, which, according to him, Poroshenko, Biden and Kerry discuss the issues of internal policy of Ukraine. Himself Poroshenko said that the records are fake and large-scale special operation "fifth column" against Ukraine, which after the retraction of the election campaign in America is trying to undermine the bipartisan support of Ukraine by the United States.
