The former President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko became a suspect in a criminal case, said the head of the second Department of the State Bureau of investigation (GBR) Vadim Primacom. Poroshenko is suspected that forced the head of the foreign intelligence Service (SVR) to appoint his Deputy Sergei Semochko.”In the premises of the Central office of the state Bureau of investigation Petro Poroshenko investigators RRT was handed a written message on suspicion in criminal proceedings, where the latter is reasonably suspected of giving illegal orders that led the current head of foreign intelligence for excess of office powers”,— said Mr. Primack (quoted by “RIA Novosti”). The question of the measure of restraint in form of detention for Petro Poroshenko is achieved, the petition will be submitted to the Pechersk district court of Kyiv. Vadim Primacom reported that the former President and his lawyers refused to receive the notice.However, the lawyer Ilya Novikov said that the state office of public Prosecutor illegally tried to present the message of suspicion. The lawyer explained that the document is by law supposed to give the attorney General Irina Venediktova, and came from an employee of her office. “It was not in accordance with law and procedure. We refused to communicate with this person,” said Ilya Novikov. Later Petro Poroshenko and members of his faction came to the meeting to the attorney General. “We came here to tell in their eyes that they are breaking the law, trying to establish in Ukraine the authoritarian regime,” he said.According to June, 2019, upon Petro Poroshenko was instituted five criminal cases.
