A tragedy has hit the Josep ‘Pep’ Guardiola.
The Spanish Manchester City manager, Pep Guardiolas, mother have lost their lives after being infected with the coronavirus.
It informs Manchester City on Twitter.
‘All around the club sends their deepest sympathy in a terrible time for the Pep, the family and all their friends,’ writes the club.
Pep Guardiolas mother, Dolors Sala Carrio, was recently identified coronavirus at home in Barcelona, where she lived, and passed away Monday. She was 82 years old.
Manchester City’s lokalrivaler Manchester United on Twitter sent condolences to Guardiola and his family.
Spain is one of the hardest hit countries with the coronavirus.
637 persons infected with the coronavirus have died that day in Spain, wrote the news agency Ritzau on Monday morning. According to the John Hopkins University has 135.032 been infected with the coronavirus in Spain, while 13.055 have lost their lives to the virus.
